About ImageLite

ImageLite – Image Format Converter is a Chrome browser extension that allows users to convert images from web pages into WebP, AVIF, JPEG, or PNG formats and save the converted files to their device.

The extension operates only when the user explicitly chooses an image and selects an ImageLite conversion option.

Data Collection

ImageLite does not collect personally identifiable information, authentication information, financial information, health information, personal communications, location data, browsing history, or user activity.

ImageLite does not use analytics services, advertising trackers, behavioral tracking tools, or third-party tracking technologies.

Image Processing

When a user chooses an image for conversion, ImageLite accesses that specific image so it can perform the requested conversion.

Image processing and format conversion are performed locally within the user's browser or device. Images are not uploaded to servers operated by ImageLite, M7tawa, or the developer for processing.

The extension does not scan, monitor, or collect general website content beyond the specific image explicitly selected by the user for conversion.

Local Storage

ImageLite uses Chrome's local extension storage to save basic user preferences required for the extension to function conveniently.

WebP quality settings.

AVIF quality settings.

JPEG quality settings.

Preferred file-saving behavior.

Limited information related to the most recent image conversion.

This information is stored locally in Chrome and is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or tracking.

Website Access

ImageLite requires access to HTTP and HTTPS websites because the image selected by the user may be hosted on any website.

This access is used only when necessary to retrieve the specific image selected by the user for conversion. ImageLite does not use website access permissions to monitor browsing activity or collect browsing history.

Downloads

ImageLite uses Chrome's download functionality only to save converted images to the user's device after the user requests a conversion.

The extension does not initiate unrelated downloads or download files without a user-triggered image conversion.

Remote Code

ImageLite does not execute remotely hosted JavaScript, WebAssembly, or other executable code.

Any code libraries or WebAssembly components required by the extension are included within the extension package distributed through the Chrome Web Store.

Sharing and Selling of Data

ImageLite does not sell user data.

ImageLite does not transfer user data to third parties for advertising, analytics, profiling, creditworthiness, lending, or purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.

Third-Party Services

ImageLite does not rely on external analytics, advertising, tracking, or image-processing services.

When an image originates from a website, the browser may communicate with that website as normally required to retrieve the image selected by the user. This communication is with the website hosting the image and is not a transfer of the image to ImageLite or M7tawa servers.

Children's Privacy

ImageLite does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when ImageLite's functionality or privacy practices change. Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised update date.
