Temporary Bookmark Privacy Policy

Temporary Bookmark saves web pages selected by the user for a limited period. Privacy is part of the product design.

Data handled

When you explicitly save a page, Temporary Bookmark stores the page URL, title, domain, save time, expiration time, and extension settings. Because saved URLs identify pages selected by the user, they may be considered browsing activity.

Purpose

This data is used only to provide the extension's single purpose: displaying temporary bookmarks, expiring them, recovering recently expired items, searching saved items, and optionally notifying the user before expiration.

Storage and transmission

The data is stored locally using Chrome extension storage. Temporary Bookmark does not operate a remote bookmark server and does not transmit saved URLs, page titles, settings, or browsing activity to the developer or third parties.

Sharing and sale

Temporary Bookmark does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user data for advertising, profiling, data brokerage, or credit decisions.

Permissions

Active tab access is used only after the user clicks the extension, so the current page can be saved. Storage is used for bookmarks and settings. Alarms are used to process expiration. The favicon permission is used only to display Chrome-provided site icons for saved URLs without storing remote favicon URLs. Notification permission is optional and requested only if the user enables expiration notifications.

Control and retention

Users can delete individual items, clear recently expired items, export or import a local backup, or erase all extension data in Settings. Recently expired retention is configurable. Uninstalling the extension removes its Chrome-managed local extension storage.

Limited Use

The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide or improve the extension's disclosed single purpose.
